Greg Allen is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. He has played in a wide variety of bands local and regional bands with styles ranging from bluegrass and country to swing, blues, and jazz. His influences consequently run the gamut from Monroe and Berline to Coltrane and Metheny. Though most of his playing time has been in the central plains region of the US, he has been involved in the music scenes of Minneapolis and New York City as well. He currently lives in Lawrence, Kansas with his wife, Jill, and son, Sam, where he performs, composes, misses his daughter away at college, and takes long walks with a very energetic dog.
